Eco Neighbourhood Revealed in Maclean
A new, 11 lot eco-neighbourhood development has been listed in Maclean with lots now available for purchase. Available under a community title, members will benefit from a unique shared asset scheme with reduced costs, sustainable eco-friendly development, and access to shared communal land while still owning their own property under the agreement. Grafton Men Charged Over Kidnapping
On Saturday 7 December 2024, three males – aged 36, 21, and 11 – were allegedly kidnapped in South Grafton, by persons known to them. Last week, a 35-year-old man was arrested and charged. This week, a second 32-year-old man was arrested and charged. Both have been refused bail and are due to face court in March.

Bridge Beats Truck in Grafton
This week an empty cattle truck became stuck when its trailer hit and wedged itself under the rail viaduct in Prince St. A full report of the incident is available in this week’s The Independent newspaper.

Glitching Out
An exhibition of abstract drawings and paintings by Angourie artist Monty Webber is now on display at the Old Kirk Gallery in Yamba. Over 45 framed works, unframed originals and copies of latest book are available. Entry is $5 and the exhibition will close on January 28th. Gallery opening hours are 10am – 2pm, Tues, Wed, Thurs, Sat and Sun.
