Raising money for Maddi & Lyla
Clarence Valley mum Maddi Hambly and her daughter Lyla were involved in a serious car accident in Pillar Valley. Lyla was uninjured but Maddi is now recovering with serious injuries. Maddi is now awake surrounded by loved ones with a GoFundMe set up to raise money for her recovery and ongoing care.
Council Candidates Deadline
Do you think our Council needs some fresh blood? Well, local elections are coming around again and any aspiring candidates have until next Wednesday 14th August to get their official nominations in here.
120kg Rubbish at Carrs Drive, Yamba
OzFish Clarence chapter with the help of Yaegl Traditional Owners and community volunteers removed a massive 120kg of rubbish and waste from salt marsh and mangroves at Carrs Drive in Yamba over the weekend. Join or follow the local chapter for details of next month’s clean up at the next site.

Jacaranda Festival Awarded Silver 🥈
Our beloved Grafton Jacaranda Festival has followed came home with a silver award in the Festival/Event of the Year category at the 2024 North Coast Tourism Awards. It’s like the Olympics of tourism and typical of our region, we’re hitting above our weight. Well done Jacas!
Yamba’s Fab Fabricators 🏆
Gray’s Marine and Welding are finalists in this year’s Champion Metal Fabrication category in the 2024 Australian Trades Small Business Champion Awards. The Yamba based business already has a fantastic local reputation for quality workmanship, let’s see if they can pull the big win in Sydney later this month.

🍽️ Botero - Open Friday Nights: Botero Cafe in Maclean is now open Friday nights from 5pm to 9pm, the menu hints at an Italian experience. Last week was booked out, so best to call ahead!

🍸Curves & Cocktails: Round up your besties, glam up, and join us for a paint and sip event with a spicy twist! Instructions will follow once your booking is made where to send your spicy pic to Freyah which will be sketched for you to paint at the event.
