According to Airbnb’s Tiny Towns Guide, our very own Maclean tops the list as the best Tiny Town in Australia! Maclean’s gold medal position is thanks to its location on the Clarence River, charming streets, Scottish heritage and proximity to nearby walking trails and Iluka’s rainforests. Grafton Base Hospital Redevelopment

A new three-storey building, new Emergency department, emergency accommodation, medical imaging and an inpateient unit. That’s what they’re telling us is coming for the Grafton Base Hospital as part of the $263.8M redevelopment. Citizen of The Year Nominations Open

Clarence Valley Council is calling on locals to dob in their neighbours, for citizen of the year. If you know someone who goes out of their way to contribute to your local community, an unsung hero — nominate them for this years Clarence Valley Citizen of the Year Awards. Nominations are open until 1 November 2024, go here for details.

Fundraiser for Karate Kids off to World Championships

Fundraising is underway to help two Maclean Martial Arts karatekas, 16 year old Ruby Martini, and 10 year old Joe Bougen. They’ve been selected for the Australian nationals team to compete at the Shidokan International Championships in Yokohama, Japan. If you’d like to support our next karate masters donations can be directed to sensei Nathan Wilks at Maclean Martial Arts.

🌮 Magic of Mexico: Mexican food, entertainment and themed beverages at the GDSC to raise funds for the Grafton Athletics Club. Book your tickets and head down at 6:30pm this Friday.

Saturday

🥳 Celebrate Wooli: Come along and enjoy the live music, kid's activities, artisans, market stalls, food trucks, and more! The festival has been running all week, but Saturday is the big day. Find us from 10am at Wooli Park in Hargraves Lane, Wooli.

🎤 Marcia Hines - Still Shining Tour: This big night is almost booked out, come and see Marcia Hines live at the Saraton Theatre with an extensive list of all her favourite songs. Tickets still available here, but not for long.

🎸 Fleetwood Mac Tribute: Running in the Shadows — Australia’s permier tribute to Fleetwood Mac — are performing live at Sanctus Brewing Co, Townsend. Doors open from 6pm, music from 7pm. Get your tickets here.

🤘 JacaLite: An epic night of metal, rock, progressive and dark music featuring local bands Occulted, Ad Noiseium, and Derecho. Kicking off at 6pm at the GDSC, get your tickets early.

🎼 Drag Musical Bingo: Jacinta Vellatio’s drag musical bingo is back! Starting at 7pm at The Crown Hotel, Grafton with music galore, prizes to be won and free to play.
