Quick News 📰
Minor Flooding Easing
Minor flood events over the past week are now beginning to ease along the Orara River and other smaller systems in the upper Clarence. Please monitor conditions and check for updates at https://hazardwatch.gov.au/
Palmers Island to Yamba Speed Limit Change
The speed limit along Yamba Road between Palmers Island and Yamba has had a speed limit reduction from 90km/h to 70km/h this week. There are currently no warning signs indicating the reduction, so take care when travelling into Yamba.
Flood Preparedness Survey
The NSW Reconstruction Authority wants to hear from residents and gather insights on flood risk awareness across the Northern Rivers and help improve community resilience. Take the survey - closes Friday 13th December.
RFS Recruiting Locally
The Clarence Valley’s 2025 training calendar has been released. There are two dates set for the Bush Fire Fighter course, this is the first qualification required to be able to join the crew on an incident. New members are asked to begin their applications with their local bridge now so they can get this training in time for the fire danger period. More info and applications.
