Yamba & Angourie Home Invasions

Four people have suffered injuries during a violent home invasion in Kohler Drive, Yamba recently. A man and a woman, both aged 77, and two other men were assaulted during the robbery. The stolen vehicle used in the robbery was allegedly used in a second aggravated break and enter in Pacific Avenue, Angourie before the vehicle was last sighted near Palmers Island. Anyone with information is asked to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.

Maclean Main St Facelift

Scaffolding has now been removed in Maclean’s main street revealing the new facade along shop fronts after two long years of works has been complete. The extensive repairs were to prevent the fascia from collapsing, and local cafe Blueberries are one of the business impacted who are breathing a sigh of relief and enjoying their new space.

Coastal Emu Eggs Found

A nest of nine coastal emu eggs was found in a state forest during a pre-logging inspection. The Coastal emus are endangered species found only in and around the Clarence Valley, with fewer than 50 believed to remain in the wild. Let’s hope papa Emu can take care of his nest and the chicks hatch safely.
