Gavin - Citizen of the Year

Gavin Rayward has been named the Clarence Valley’s 2025 Citizen of the Year for his dedication to promoting outdoor activities and mental health in the Clarence Valley. He has organised numerous events to engage people of all ages and abilities, such as Street-O orienteering event in Grafton and traditional orienteering events in Bom Bom State Forest since 2013. Well done Gavin!

Have you seen Georgia?

Police are appealing for public assistance to locate Grafton teen Georgia Thomas, aged 16, who was last seen about 10.30am on Friday 24 January. She is described as being of Caucasian appearance, about 155cm tall, of thin build, fair complexion, with brown hair and brown-coloured eyes. She was last seen wearing blues jeans, a navy-blue T-shirt and a black jumper. Anyone with information into her whereabouts is urged to call Grafton Police or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.

Toad Bustin’ Bob

Lawrence local Bob Callaghan has recently shared his impressive, solar-powered, automatic cane toad catching device on Facebook, with a video demo and images of how everything works. Some local ingenuity in action. Watch the video here.
