Adam The Hero

Local legend Adam Osbourne rescued a young woman in trouble in huge swell on Sunday. Witnesses heard a lady calling for help as a strong rip pulled her away from shore. Without hesitation, Adam jumped in with his board and pulled her to safety. Well done Adam!

Wild Weather Passed

The low-pressure system that passed through last week resulted in significant rainfall, localised flooding, fallen trees and power outages across the valley. Roads remain damaged, with some areas of Yamba and Maclean having substantial potholes.

School Teacher Under Investigation

A Grafton Public School teacher has been removed from teaching duties after being caught sending inappropriate messages to a 12-year-old female student over a period of six months. The girl’s mother discovered the messages and raised the alarm with Grafton Police, who failed to press charges because the behaviour was not deemed criminal. Investigations are continuing.
